YOGA FOR WISH
We raised $2,000 for WISH. WISH's mission is to improve the health, safety and well-being of women who are involved in Vancouver’s street-based sex trade.WISH offers a range of services to support women who are often denied both their basic needs as well as a sense of dignity and self-worth. They host a nightly Drop-In Centre open 365 days per year, providing a safe place to rest, have a hot meal, shower and connect with community.
YOGA FOR PROTECT OUR WINTERS (POW)

Together, we raised $1,000 for Protect Our Winters Canada. POW is a group of passionate outdoor people who help protect the places and lifestyles they love from climate change.
VIRTUAL #POUR&POSE FOR PARKINSON SOCIETY OF BC
We grabbed a mat, a drink and did some yoga via Zoom. Together, we raised $300 for Parkinson research and awareness in support of Grit Day.

Grit Day: On Saturday, August 29th, a collective group raised money and awareness for Parkinson’s research in British Columbia. As a group, we raised $45,000.
YOGA FOR BETTER LIFE FOUNDATION
We filled the Settlement Building and raised $750 for A Better Life Foundation #BeingHungrySucks. A Better Life Foundation's mission is to provide safe access to food for all by empowering upward mobility through food security. They commit to providing approximately 1,000 high quality, nutritious meals to individuals fleeing violence, street-entrenched youth, and those living well below the poverty line in Vancouver's Downtown East Side. In addition to daily meals, ABLF supports a sandwich token redemption program and sit-down 3-course meals for DTES residents.
YOGA TO FIGHT BREAST CANCER
Thanks to our sponsors EPIC - Yoga & Fitness.
We brought the Maple Ridge community together to raise $800 to support those who have battled, are battling, and will battle with breast cancer.
YOGA FOR BACKPACK BUDDIES
COVID is difficult to navigate - all of our routines came to a halt. To bring people together and create a sense of community, we ran yoga classes via Zoom by donation for the Starfish Backpack Program. Together, we raised $375.
The Starfish Pack Program, organized by the Friends In Need Food Bank, provides identified children in the Maple Ridge School District with a backpack full of more than enough food to last a whole weekend.
YOGA AT PITT
By-donation yoga classes at Pitt Meadows Secondary School with all proceeds going to the Maple Ridge Community Chest, in support of Neighbours helping Neighbours week. In total, we raised $250.
The Maple Ridge Community Chest is an effort to prevent the grinding cycle of poverty that plagues so many families in the community.
YOGA TO HELP SAVE THE SALMON
Through yoga, we raised $200 to create awareness to save one of the Lower Mainland’s most important salmon rivers, the Alouette River.

The Alouette River which flows from Golden Ears Provincial Park to the Pitt River, before joining the Fraser, is a unique and irreplaceable ecosystem, with a history that goes back millennia. Home to Katzie and Kwantlen First Nations since time immemorial, the Alouette is the only BC Heritage River that is solely within the Lower Mainland. We are all guardians of the Alouette, it’s time to stop its destruction.
BE THANKFUL YOGA - RAISING FUNDS FOR FOUNDRY
A virtual yoga class that raised $300 for Foundry. Foundry offers young people ages 12-24 health and wellness resources, services and supports – online and through integrated service centres in communities across BC.
YOGA IN THE PARK SERIES
For three consecutive weeks, we hosted yoga by donation in local Maple Ridge Parks. Each week the location changed, ensuring all classes were accessible to the community. We raised $500.
